TitleVest Supports Citymeals-on-Wheels as Extraordinary Patron

Manhattan-based title insurance company donates to non-profit’s annual Chef’s Tribute

New York, New York - May 26, 2009 - TitleVest, a Manhattan-based provider of title insurance and related real estate services, has announced its support of Citymeals-on-Wheels as an Extraordinary Patron of the nonprofit’s annual Chef’s Tribute to Citymeals on June 8, 2009 at Rockefeller Center.
"We welcome TitleVest to the Citymeals family," said Marcia Stein, executive director of Citymeals-on-Wheels. "Their contribution will bring more than 1,500 meals to the doors of frail aged New Yorkers at times when they would otherwise be hungry and alone."

"We are pleased to support Citymeals-on-Wheels and this great event," said Bill Baron, president of TitleVest. "In this challenging economic climate, non-profits’ needs are even greater and we are happy to support an organization that profoundly impacts the lives of so many New York residents."

Established in 1981 by Gael Greene and the late James Beard, Citymeals-on-Wheels funds 85 community-based agencies that bring weekend, holiday and emergency meals to homebound elderly New Yorkers who can no longer shop or cook for themselves. The Chef’s Tribute celebration will extend far beyond the streets of midtown, into the homes of thousands of elderly neighbors throughout the five boroughs of New York who rely on Citymeals-on-Wheels for their lifeline of food and companionship. Last year’s event raised $915,000, enough to provide more than 140,000 meals. Over 1,000 people are expected to attend this year’s Chef’s Tribute to Citymeals event.
