TitleVest's Green Initiative Results in Planting of 3,044 Trees

Partnership with Arbor Day Foundation is part of TitleVest’s eco-friendly business practice

New York, New York - April 22, 2009 - In just one year, TitleVest, a Manhattan-based provider of title insurance and related real estate services, planted 3,044 trees, equivalent to 5.5 acres, through its Grow PaperlessTM initiative in partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation.

TitleVest launched Grow PaperlessTM in April 2008 as an extension of its commitment to eco-friendly business practices and in an effort to reduce the more than 100,000 sheets of paper the company consumed in an average month.

"TitleVest’s commitment will have a big impact in areas that are in need of replanting," said Kevin Sander, director of corporate partnerships at the Arbor Day Foundation. "The trees planted by TitleVest will help restore wildlife habitat, clean the air, protect the soil and waterways and restore an area for people to enjoy for generations to come."

Grow PaperlessTM was inspired by the launch of TitleVest’s state-of-the-art, interactive method of displaying its reports online. Reports are also viewable on BlackBerrys and other PDAs with internet access. This eliminates the need for a paper report and helps TitleVest to reduce its overall paper consumption.

According to Conservatree, a nonprofit organization dedicated to converting paper markets to environmental papers, the average tree yields 17 reams of copy paper. Through TitleVest’s donation to the Arbor Day Foundation, the Company has offset the consumption of 51,748 reams of copy paper, which equals nearly 26 million sheets.

"We are pleased with the results of our first green initiative and grateful to our clients for their participation," said Bill Baron, president of TitleVest. "The Grow PaperlessTM program signifies both our commitment to eco-friendly business practices and our ongoing desire to eliminate redundant manual processes and replace them with proprietary technology. We look forward to continuing Grow Paperless through 2009 and beyond."

The Arbor Day Foundation has a long-standing commitment to restoring the nation’s forests so this and future generations can enjoy the many benefits, including clean air and water, soil conservation, recreation, and wildlife habitat.
